Week 4- Volunteer

Today, I went to the President’s Day Project Linus volunteer activity at Ackerman. This is my third year attending this project, and it never fails to be a successful and fun day. The mission of Project Linus is to provide blankets for children who are ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Over 100 students gathered at Ackerman this afternoon to cut and knot blankets by hand. In total, the 4 Glenbard schools created over 125 blankets. I would suggest participating in Project Linus to everyone, as it is an awesome way to both give back to the community and feel great about the work you did for others. The photo attached is of all the blankets we made today. Overall, it was a great day!
